Hi, my name is Theresa Torralva. I started in the beauty industry as a receptionist in 1989. My boss encouraged me to become a hairdresser. I was advised to follow the apprenticeship program through the salon while attending Norfolk Vo-Tech. I received my license in Virginia and have remained in this area.

My sister and I became a team and opened what is now known as Twisted Sisters Salon. Continuing education is very important to me, so I attend many classes and major hair shows from the east to the west coast every year.

One of the benefits of the beauty industry is “instant gratification”. I am only as happy as the client in my chair. That is my high in life! I have truly found my “CAREER”.

My name is Joyce Godbold Daniel and I have been in the industry for 25 years. I started in 1982 as a shampoo tech and then worked through the apprenticeship program.

I have always been open to learning new techniques. In 1989 I was awarded a spot on the Rusk design team and received a lot of training.

I love being a part of this profession because you touch so many lives. I believe strongly in custome service. It is my number "1" goal to treat people as I would like to be treated. It is because of the need for excellent customer service that made us want to become salon owners. The birth of Twisted Sisters began in 2003 and we are very proud of our salon and our "Team Members"

Angie is my name and “Hair” is my Game! My education began in 1996-1998 at the Norfolk Technical Vocational Center. I became a hair designer in January 1999. I am certified in various advanced education. I enjoy foiling, coloring, cutting, styling, updo’s, and brow arching. I continue my advancement by investing in paid education and hair shows. I love this continually, changing industry because I can give “You” the client an opportunity to express yourself in a creative manner.

My name is Anne and I have worked in the Beauty business for 25 years. I moved from the client chair into the receptionist chair. I love interacting with people and watching our very talented stylists transform our clients and make them feel better because they look GREAT! For the past 6 years I have been working our front desk and handling office work. Our clients are very important to us, and we strive to make every visit to our salon a very special event. Being a girly girl as I am (even at my age) I love fashion, hair and makeup, and I am exactly where I need to be.

Hi, I'm Whitney. I've got big hair, but underneath is an even bigger personality! (That's pretty big!) I just graduated from Princess Anne High School this past June and will be attending ODU in the fall. Though I'm new to the team, I've been coming to the salon for years as a client and know first hand that what we have to offer is the best.
